Upcoming Club Events and News

  • THANK YOU to all our volunteers and skaters in the Summer Exhibition! It was such a success, and we raised $1,800 towards more club ice and programming options!

  • Ice Reopening Celebration - The Bloomington Ice Center reopens 8/2! Come join your friends at open skate on Saturday 8/2 from 2-3:30!!!!

  • THANK YOU for everyone who provided feedback through the Membership Survey! Check out our 2025-2026 Key Dates for the year and make sure to reserve the important dates!

  • NEW Club Offerings! Based on feedback from our membership, we are excited to offer new opportunities for our skaters! 

    • Annual Ice Show (Rehearsals on Mondays 5-6 9/8 to 11/10) - Save the Date for our Annual Ice Show on November 16th! More information about registration will be coming out early August!

    • Advanced Jumps and Spins (Mondays 5-5:30 starting in December) - This will be open to Pre-Preliminary level and above and will be offered during our NEW Advanced Club Ice time of 5-6 Mondays which is open to Full Members of CIFSC (not JAM Members).

    • Advanced Performance Team (Mondays 5:30-6 starting January)- We are also exploring the feasibility of introducing an advanced Performance Team coached by Rachael Minteer and Lindsay Danner! This group would practice on Mondays from 5:30-6. Please hold Monday evenings starting in January if you are interested in this opportunity!

    • Skills & Sass (Thursdays 5-6 starting 9/4) - Build your skills with Edges and Power class from 5:00-5:20, and then have fun working on your performance skills with interpretive class from 5:40-6! This 40 minute class will be taught by Coach Madalyn & Coach Evan, and will cost $10/class and will be for Basic 6-Advanced Skaters. The class starts September 4th during Regular Club Ice on Thursdays.

    • Strength/Conditioning (Thursdays 6:30-7:30 PM and Saturdays 10-11 AM) - Total Performance Center is excited to offer 1 hour off-ice strength/conditioning training for our club. The cost is $80 per skater per month for 3 months of weekly training for 1x weekly, or $150 per month for 2x weekly. Sessions will be offered 6:30-7:30 PM on Thursdays and 10-11 AM on Saturdays.     • Aspire Performance Team - We are adding a NEW Aspire Performance Team during the 5-5:30 TOI. This group will perform a throughout the year, and will be coached by Madalyn Brook. It will be offered at the same time as the Basic Skills Performance team, which is coached by Coach Evan. Sign up for this through the Ice Center.

Upcoming BIC Events

  • Upcoming Freestyle - Freestyle ice will return 8/4. Also, most weekdays during the summer, skaters arrive by 2:15 to do off-ice warmups together. Come early to take advantage of the full 2 hours of ice time and make extra progress during the summer!

  • ❄️ Sub Zero Figure Skating Camp – Fun on and off the Ice! ❄️ Looking for an exciting way to build your skating skills while having a blast? Camp Sub Zero is the perfect mix of skill-building and fun, designed for figure skaters Blades 5/6 and up! 

    • Camp runs Monday-Wednesday, 12-3:30 the of 8/4:

      • 🌟 On-Ice Training – Master jumps, spins, edges, and artistry with expert coaching.

      • 🏋️ Off-Ice Conditioning – Enhance flexibility, balance, and power through specialized workouts designed for skaters.

    • This is your chance to sharpen your skills, gain confidence, and connect with fellow skaters in an engaging, supportive environment. Spaces are limited—Secure your spot today ⛸️

  • Specialty Classes – We have several NEW specialty classes being offered in August!

Competition Corner

  • Thanks to everyone who volunteered for our annual Excel and Beyond competition! We welcomed skaters and officials from across the country and had an wonderful 3-Day completion! From our club - we had a record 36 skaters compete in 48 different events. Skaters had so much fun cheering each other on and volunteering!

  • CIFSC is representing across the country! Help us celebrate our skaters who competed this summer!

    • Skate Milwaukee (July) - Anna Joseph - 3rd Pre-Juvenile Well Balanced

    • Collegiate National Championship (July) - Iris Chow - 2nd Preliminary Rhythm Blues Solo Dance and 6th Excel Preliminary Singles

    • Badger Classic (July) - Katlyn Schweik - 1st Pre-Bronze Adult Singles and 2nd Adult Showcase

    • Showcase Nationals in Detroit, MI (July) - Clare Hennis and Emma Goldfarb
