  • Skaters Aspire 1 and above who are interested in the Excel Series, check out our NEW Excel Team! Talk to your coach to see if this is right for you. Here are all the details!

  • May 1-3 - 5th Annual Excel and Beyond competition will be here in Bloomington! Registration is open! Also - we ask that each family volunteer at least 2 shifts for the competition, as well as help provide food for our hospitality room. This competition brings in 250 people from across the country and raises significant funds that help support our Club events, including Club Ice. Your help makes this event possible!!!!

Summer and Fall Plans

While it’s early, it’s time to start thinking about Summer!

  • Camp Sub Zero will be offered June 8-10 and June 15-17. This fun half-day skating camp is a great way to cool off during the summer heat! Skaters can also work on their group routines for the Summer Exhibition.

  • Summer Exhibition - 6/20 at 6:30 PM. More information will come soon!

  • BIC Shutdown will be 6/22 - 8/1. The Arena ice will be removed May 11 and won’t go back until late September so there is only 1 rink available and ice time will be extremely limited for all clubs until late September, as we will all be sharing one sheet of ice. As we navigate the shutdown, we encourage skaters to keep skating over the break and throughout August.

    • Ask your coach when they will be teaching in Peoria!

    • Learn to Skate (including higher level classes) are offered in Peoria and Springfield over the summer. Sign up for a class as a group of skaters to carpool, and also meet new friends from nearby rinks!

    • Check out skating camps during the summer:

CIFSC Needs YOU!

As a non-profit, we are reliant upon volunteers to run all of our events and donations/fundraising to fund our offerings and keep costs as low as possible for our members! Did you know that every hour of Club Ice costs our club $299? We would LOVE to expand our club ice offerings to provide more late ice options, and to do that we need to fundraise! We would LOVE to have you help! Here are some things we are looking for:

Donations & Fundraising

  • Do you have a working device (tablet or phone) that you aren’t using? We are looking for a device for the club to play music during freestyle and club ice, so that skaters can play their own music without having to use CD’s. Contact Meghan at president@ci-fsc.org if you have a device to donate!

Planning Committees

  • Excel and Beyond Competition Planning - This competition annually raises about $8,000 to support our skaters for things like Club Ice and all of our events. We are looking for people to help organize logistics, volunteer needs, and other tasks.

  • Summer Exhibition Planning Committee - Last year this event raised almost $2,000 to support club ice and other events! We are thinking of expanding this event into more of a fundraising event, along with on-ice seating! This year, we have a goal of raising $5,000 to help expand our club ice offerings. We are looking for passionate and creative volunteers who can help take this event to the next level!
