2026 CIFSC Excel Team

Costs, Info & Registration Info:

Excel Series Registration (MUST Register via EMS by 3/1): $95

Prairieland Inter-Club Figure Skating Series (Register by 3/1 - OPTIONAL): $35

  • Includes participation in the skating series, T-Shirt, and competitor party at end of season in the Fall

  • Aspire Levels:

    • Must compete in 2 or more of the following competitions: Quad Cities Victory Skate, Spring Thaw, Excel and Beyond, Edwardsville Comp (TBD), Capital City Classic

  • Pre-Pre Excel and above:

    • Must compete in at least one of the following competitions (highest IJS score counts): Excel and Beyond, Quad Cities Victory Skate

CIFSC Excel Team Fee (Register by 3/1 - OPTIONAL): $150

  • Team Jacket

  • March Magic Critique Session on 3/1 from 3-6 PM (Please still register here, but you do not need to pay for the session, since this is included in the price)

  • Summer Exhibition on 6/20 at 6:30 where Excel Team will be celebrated

  • 1x per month 30-minute Excel Team clinic (4 total) during Club Ice to prepare for season (March/April will be 5:30-6 during Monday club ice and May/June will be 5:30-6 during Thursday Club Ice)

  • Send-off gift from the Club for those going to Boston

Competition Registration (MUST attend at least 2, and no more than 4 from this list); CIFSC coaches are attending 4 of these competitions.

  • Open Levels (Aspire 1 to Pre-Preliminary Excel) qualify for Boston Festival by attending 2 series competitions

  • Finalist levels (Preliminary Plus and above) may qualify based on the total of the 2 highest scores from the competitions (usually top 10% or so of registrants qualify)

  • Quad Cities Victory Skate in Davenport, IA 3/27-29 (registration deadline 2/20) - Coaches attending: Coach Lindsay

  • Ladybug in Orland Park, IL 4/23-4/26 (registration deadline 3/16) - Coaches attending - Coach Rachael

  • Excel and Beyond in Bloomington, IL, 5/1-3 (registration deadline 3/15) - Coaches attending: ALL

  • Metro Indy Skating Challenge in Carmel, IN (registration deadline 5/1) - Coaches attending: Coach Rachael

Excel National Festival Registration (registration will open in May), July 15-19, Boston, MA; Last Year was $335 for open and $360 for finalist. Here are the OLD announcements: 2025, 2024; Coaches attending: Coach Rachael

Note: The Bloomington Ice Center will be closed starting June 22 through August 3. For about 3 weeks, skaters who wish to compete in Boston will need to travel to another rink (Peoria or Springfield) to practice several times per week. We can organize carpools etc to make this easier on families!

Competition Costs:

  • Registration Fee, Practice Ice Fees, and any additional photo/video purchase

  • Coach travel expenses & ice fees

  • Travel & hotel for skater & family (note: once we know who is going to what, we can talk across and look at options to reduce costs for all, like finding an AirB&B in Boston, sharing rental cars, etc. if there is interest)
