  • Pumpkin Patch Classic will be 10-12 AM on Sunday 9/13. This is a fun opportunity to practice your program in a mock competition ahead of the Capital City Classic on 9/27! If you are new to the club, this is a great opportunity to come and watch and cheer on other skaters too!

  • Used Skate/Dress Sale - Have some used skates, dresses, and equipment collecting dust? Donate them to the Used Skate/Dress sale! We are hosting this on the following dates: Club Ice 9/10 (5-6 PM), 9/15 (5-6 PM), and 9/19 (10-11:30). We are not going to be offering consignment sales this year - and encourage those who want to sell items individually to leverage the facebook group (CIFSC Used Equipment BST - managed by Kelly Smoak). To donate items, bring them to the rink and give to Alan, Meghan, Laura or Candid.

Club Ice Details and Rules

Here is the rundown on how club ice works this year!

  • Starting after Labor Day, we will offer Club Ice on BOTH Mondays and Thursdays from 5-6 PM. There will be a check in sheet on the shelf next to the ice, and ALL skaters are expected to check in to club ice!

  • As a reminder, here are the Club Ice options:

    • Full Members (without Club Ice Package) - As full members, your membership comes with 1 day a week of Club Ice. Full members have selected EITHER Monday OR Thursday Club Ice. This selection has been made for the season. If you need to change your selected day, please email Meghan at president@ci-fsc.org.

    • Full Members (with Club Ice Package) - With the club ice package, you can attend BOTH Monday and Thursday club ice.

    • Junior Members (without Club Ice Package) - Junior Members are invited to attend Junior Member Nights, which are offered 1 Thursday per month. Our first Junior Members Night is 9/24!

    • Junior Members (with Club Ice Package) - With the club ice package, you can attend ALL Thursday club ice sessions.

    • Important Note for Ice Show Participants: Please attend club ice when your routine is scheduled to rehearse, even if it is on a different day than your regular club ice. Skaters may get on 5 minutes ahead of your rehearsal time to warm up. Examples:

      • If you are a Junior Member, and your routine is scheduled for Thursdays 5-5:30 PM in September, skater is expected to attend each Thursday rehearsal from 5-5:30, and will leave the ice after rehearsal (except on Junior Member night on 9/24).

      • If you are a full member and have selected Thursday ice, and your routine is practicing Mondays 5:30-6, you are expected attend Mondays for your rehearsal time. Skater can get on the ice at 5:25.

      • Full member with the package is scheduled on Monday 5:30-6, can attend full sessions Monday and Thursday, regardless of when scheduled.

      • Junior member with the package is scheduled 5-5:30, can attend full Thursday ice time.

  • Club Ice Rules Reminder: During September/October, Club Ice can be extra busy, and Ice Show takes priority during Club Ice. Skaters who are not in rehearsal are welcome to practice - and we ask that you use extra diligence to ensure that you are very aware of those who are in practice sessions for Ice Show. If skaters are not following the freestyle rules, they will be asked to leave Club Ice for that session by a coach or core board member (Alan/Meghan/Laura/Candid). Examples of dangerous activities during club ice include: Using phones to record each other, gathering and talking rather than skating, playing tag, group games. We need to ensure that the skaters who are in their ice show rehearsals can practice routines safely! We will monitor this and let you know if any further changes are needed.
