Strength training builds the explosive power needed for higher jumps, quicker rotations, and faster, more controlled skating. Full-body strength and conditioning develops the power and stability to land jumps safely, hold strong edges, and glide with speed and precision.

Figure skating puts stress on hips, knees, and ankles, especially with repetitive jumps and long training sessions. Strength training helps by building stronger muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones—supporting alignment, improving balance, and reducing the risk of overuse injuries. A strong body is key to staying healthy and consistent on the ice.

Pricing and Training Options
Skaters must sign up for 3 months of training through TPC. Registration will occur on the first day of training (9/4 or 9/6). Please sign up HERE so we know how many people to expect the first day and can get skaters pre-registered. If we get more people the price may go down!
$80/month of 1x week training
$140/month of 2x week training
Training sessions offered 6:30-7:30 on Thursdays after Club Ice, and 10-11 AM Saturdays at the Total Performance Center located at 1111 Trinity Ln. Bloomington, IL 61704.
